Daniel's Back Story

In the Beginning

As the son of a pastor, Daniel was raised in the church around various kinds of Christian ministry in a small town near the birthplace of Walmart, in Arkansas. He began writing and performing music in his teen years and was heavily involved in worship ministry before moving to Seattle in his early twenties to pursue a career in music. He later moved to Phoenix and returned to leading worship.

Planting & Watering

CHFDaniel moved back to Arkansas in 2003 and started a t-shirt company with a friend. During that season he also began an in-depth 5-year study of Reformation theology and church history which led him to help plant an independent creedal church in 2009. While serving as a church planting pastor, he helped to launch Christ Hold Fast (CHF), a Law & Gospel collective of creative contributors, dedicated to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ through daily articles, weekly podcasts, along with Events around the country.

Making All Things New

1517After multitasking in ministry for close to a decade as an entrepreneur, business owner, evangelist, church planter, pastor, Bible Study leader, author, podcast co-host, multi-state event coordinator, and conference speaker—with the blessing of his elders and congregation—Daniel transitioned to full-time ministry with CHF (a project of 1517) soon after their inaugural Here We Still Stand conference, an annual celebration on the Anniversary of the Reformation.
